Ongoing Programs for Ages 0-5

Thursday Story Times: Experience picture book stories, songs, puppets, and rhymes, and explore some sign language and math concepts.
Wednesday Play Times: Read one story together and play! We have giant blocks and other creative play materials. Recommended for families with children ages 1-4. Siblings are welcome.
Music Time: Sing and dance with musician Linda Bassick, generally on the first Friday of every month.
Spanish Story Time: Bring your toddlers to listen to stories and learn some Spanish words on the 3rd Friday of every month.
Kingston’s Autism Swagger Squad^TM: Caregivers of children with autism and other disabilities are invited to connect and share support. While caregivers share experiences, children can explore and play with giant foam blocks, hoops, and other toys in a welcoming and safe environment. This program is facilitated by Kingston’s Autism Swagger Squad, a group created by and for families and their children who have autism and it is offered on the second Satuday of every month.
Spanish Time: Bring your toddlers to listen to stories and learn some Spanish words. This program is generally offered on the third Friday of the month.
Scavenger Hunts: Help your young child search the youth department in our monthly scavenger hunts.

Regularly scheduled programs start in October and run through mid-May; we pause our regularly scheduled programs to accommodate family vacations during school breaks.
