• Winnie Belle Maker Space: Stop by Youth Nonfiction to experiment, tinker, explore and create with a monthly STEM Challenge or Art Lab. This program is available all month long, and it is made possible with support from the Winnie Bell Learned Fund.
• Scavenger Hunts: Children search the youth department in our monthly scavenger hunts.
• Breakout EDU: Follow the clues to solve a mystery in this monthly challenge that engages older children and teens in critical thinking and problem solving.
• The Workshop: Stop by the Workshop after school to make, tinker, explore, and invent with creative materials. This program occurs once a month; see our event calendar for exact dates.
• Comics Club: Calling all comic fans! We meet once a month to talk all things comics and graphic novels. This program is open to patrons in grade 4 and up.
• Brick Pit:Calling all builders! Drop in each month to tackle a special LEGO building challenge, or just build creatively. Your creations will be displayed in the library! This program is offered once per month.
• Read with Sammy: Sammy loves belly rubs, carrots, and listening to kids read! His owner is Kim Nowlan, a local educator. They are a certified team with Therapy Dogs of Vermont. Repeats every 2nd Tuesday of the month.
• Red Clover Group: Children from kindergarten to fourth grade are invited to participate in a book club devoted to Vermont’s picture book award, the Red Clover Book Award. The group meets on the third Tuesday of each month (October-March), 1:30-2:30pm. Each year’s list is selected by Vermont librarians and educators, it includes ten books. Participants must read all ten of the titles on the list to be eligible for voting, which will occur at the last book group meeting in March. Please register to participate in the Red Clover Book Group. 
• Golden Dome Book Group: Children and teens from fifth through eighth grade are invited to participate in a book club devoted to the Golden Dome Book Award. The group meets on the third Tuesday of each month (October-March), 1:30-2:30pm. Each year’s list is selected by Vermont librarians and educators; it includes twenty-five books. Participants are encouraged to read five of the titles on the list to be eligible for voting, which will occur at the last meeting in March. Please register to participate in the Golden Dome Book Club.

Regularly scheduled programs start in October and run through mid-May; we pause our regularly scheduled programs to accommodate family vacations during school breaks. Summer programs start in June and run through early August. Check out our Events Calendar for an up-to-date listing of programs.
