Summer Reading Program
Every summer in mid-June, Brownell Library kicks off the summer reading program. What follows is six weeks of fun and educational activities that celebrate reading and community. All participants who turn in a reading log (any reading log, not just the "official" Brownell log) and/or participate in summer programming will be entered into a prize drawing. Participants are also invited to an end of summer party with the No String Marionettes where they can receive a free book.
Teens in grades 6-12 are also invited to participate in the summer reading program by reading books and attending or volunteering for events. All teen summer reading participants will be invited to a teen party at the end of the summer and entered into a prize drawing.
The 2023 Summer Reading Theme, All Together Now, will celebrate kindness, friendship, and unity. A program brochure and registration forms for both participants and teen volunteers will be released at the beginning of June.
